First Church continues its support of Hope as it has for the past 24 years. We serve a hot lunch every second Monday. Funds for the food come from the Outreach and Mission Committee. The number of guests has ranged from 50 to 90+ this year, indicating a continuing need for Hope. We have a wonderful cooking team including Carolyn Smith, Charles Cox, Neil Keihm, and Paul Short. Luther Herman is our headwaiter helped by John Hamilton and others from the Retired Men’s group.

We are always in need of help and welcome anyone who would like to join this fun group supporting a need in our community. Please do not hesitate to call or talk to one of us. We especially need someone who would do the shopping each month and deliver the food to Kingswood Methodist on the second Monday morning.

One day, walking into Hope a gentleman told us "I couldn’t make it, if it were not for Hope".
